About this Event
In Our Backyard, a non-profit, built 6 tiny homes on Central Lutheran Church’s property. This is interim housing for older adults while they work toward getting permanent housing. The guests stay as long as needed until housing becomes available which sometimes takes 6-9 months. We provide support services through case managers and community volunteers.
A few of our ongoing needs are operating funds for utilities, supplies, maintenance, food and laundry service. In the Spring, we will have capital needs as we install a water system, build a storage shed and do landscaping. In addition, we want to be a role model for others to createtiny villages to help our unhoused neighbors.
