Hear from juror Mary Bradshaw as she reflects on works and themes featured in the 2025 Alaska Triennial. Through a blind jury process, 47 artists were selected from a pool of 222 artists. The exhibition highlights the vibrancy of artistic production in Alaska as well as the mastery of a wide range of mediums — from intricate beadwork to graphite, encaustic, ceramic, printmaking, woodworking and textile. Following the lecture, visitors are invited to join Bradshaw and artists in the exhibition on the 4th floor. 6:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, in the Auditorium.
About the Speaker
Mary Bradshaw is the Curator and Director of Visual Arts at the Yukon Arts Centre in Whitehorse YT, Canada. Uplifting a greater diversity of art and communicating these stories in modern and accessible ways is at the heart of her work. She has held various cultural leadership and curatorial roles in northern Canada, including the Yukon Prize, 2022 Arctic Arts Summit, Yukon Permanent Art Collection, and 2010 Cultural Olympiad, and is a past member of the Sobey Art Award Curatorial Jury.
