Event Description
Step into a dreamy mixed-media session where soft charcoal lines meet the gentle glow of watercolour washes.
In this 2-hour creative workshop, you’ll explore mark-making, texture, colour, and the beautiful contrast between dry and wet media. We’ll play, loosen up, and discover how unexpected combinations can create expressive, atmospheric artwork.
This workshop is ideal for beginners, hobby artists, and anyone seeking a mindful and exploratory art experience. You’ll walk away with new techniques, mini-studies, and a renewed sense of creative freedom.
All art materials are provided — bring your curiosity.

Do I need any experience?
Not at all — this session is beginner-friendly and welcoming to all skill levels.
Are materials included?
Yes! Charcoal, watercolour paints, brushes, paper and palettes are all provided.
What should I bring?
Just yourself, a water bottle, and clothes you don’t mind getting a little creative in.
Where is the venue?
We’ll be at the Melbourne Central Skybridge (“Between”). A reminder email will be sent with exact directions.
Can kids join?
Adults and teens aged 13+ are welcome (teens must attend with a parent/guardian).
Is it indoors?
Yes — this session is held indoors and runs regardless of the weather.
What is the refund policy?

- Enter Melbourne Central via Swanston St, La Trobe St, or Elizabeth St.
- Head to Level 1 and find the CUE store (Shop 123/211 La Trobe St).
- Walk a little further down the corridor.
- You’ll see "The Between" Skybridge — a glass bridge linking Melbourne Central to Emporium Melbourne over Lonsdale Street.
