About this Event
We're a children's bookstore. And we love what we do — helping kids find the book that changes everything, watching a reluctant reader fall in love with a story, keeping shelves full of the kind of magic that only a good picture book can deliver.
But here's the truth: children's publishing is in decline. Independent kids' bookstores across the country are feeling it. And we're no exception.
So we did what any good bookstore would do — we got creative.
Introducing Chapters & Cocktails — our very first adult book fair, hosted at the wonderful Please Tell Me bar in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Because grown-ups deserve book love too, and because every ticket sold helps us keep our shelves stocked for the kids in this neighborhood who need them.
Browse a hand-picked selection of adult books across every genre — fiction, non-fiction, poetry, graphic novels, essay collections, guilty pleasures, and everything in between. Buy something new. Swap something you've already loved. Meet a fellow reader over a drink.
Every ticket includes one cocktail or mocktail. Because this is a book fair for adults, and adults do things properly.
