Come join us for a little Chaos in the Cape, a Blood Bowl tournament for everybody that loves the game but particularly as a chance to practice for the upcoming Chaos Cup later this year.
A three round event with rules close to the Chaos Cup rules.
Entry fee will be $15 (plus $5 if you need to join NAF), all of which will be converted into store credit to be given out as prizes.
Team creation:
You are given 1,150,000 gold pieces to build your team. You may purchase players, rerolls, fan factor, asst. coaches, cheerleaders, apothecary and inducements with this money.

Note: If you are including a Star Player, you must have 11 players on your team BEFORE hiring them. Having 10 players plus a Star is not allowed. Remember, the HIGHLANDER Rule is in effect: You CANNOT have the same Star Player as your opponent. If both of you attempt to field the same player, then that star player has swindled you both!! Neither of you can field them.

The new editions of Blood Bowl have given Star Players each their own "Special Rule". If you have a Star Player on your roster, you are expected to explain the "Special Rule" to your opponent and make sure you keep track of its use.
Please make sure your team is painted, all positionals are clearly recognizable, all players are numbered and all PICKED skills are represented somehow. (rings, rubber bands or whatever)

Tier 1 teams get 36 SPP to spend + 1 Star Player:
Amazon, Dark Elf, High Elf, Lizardmen, Old World Alliance, Shambling Undead, Skaven, Underworld Denizens, Wood Elf and Vampire

Tier 2 teams get 42 SPP to spend + 1 Star Player:
Chaos Dwarf, Elven Union, Human, Necromantic Horror, Norse, Nurgle and Orc

Tier 3 teams get 50 SPP to spend + 1 Star Player:
Bretonnian, Chaos Chosen, Dwarf, Imperial Nobility, Khorne and Tomb Kings

Tier 4 teams get 56 SPP to spend + 2 Star Players:
Black Orc, Chaos Renegades, Gnome, Slann and Snotling

Tier 5 teams get 64 SPP to spend + 2 Star Players:
Goblin, Halfling and Ogre

Primary Skills are 6 SPP / Secondary Skills are 12 SPP. No Stat increases. No Limit of any skill type with the exception of ELITE skills. *MAX of 4 of each type of ELITE Skill* You may put a second Primary skill on a player, but it counts as a Selected Primary Skill (may not put a Secondary Skill and Primary on one player - may not add skills to Star Players). A single player with TWO Primary Skills will cost 14 SPP.

Star Players - in addition to their hiring fee - stars will cost you an extra 12 SPP Due to popularity and market demand... MEGA STARS: Griff Obwerwald, Hakflem Skuttlespike, H’Thark the Unstoppable, Ivan Deathshroud, Morg 'n' Thorg, Dribl & Drull, Grak & Crumbleberry, Jeremiah Kool and Jordell Freshbreeze will cost 24 SPP (not 12) and ONLY 1 Mega Star is Allowed!!!
SPECIAL RULE FOR ROUND 2!
AVATAR of AKHORNE!
All coaches during Round 2 will be able to invoke the AVATAR of AKHRONE Special Ability for one of their lineman positions (0-12 or 0-16)
For one activation only, this player will replace their stats/skills with that of Akhorne the Squirrel. It is HIGHLY encouraged to utilize an AKHORNE model for this round.

Schedule:
Registration starts at 9:30am, first game starts at 10:00.
We will play 3 rounds at 2 hours and 20 minutes each, after game 1 there will be a lunch break of 1 hour in which you will display your teams for the best painted team award so that a panel of judges can check them out. (The plaza where the game store is located has a few places to get lunch.)
Awards:
There will be prizes for best coach, runner up, most casualties, best painted team and some spot prizes.
