About this Event
"Chanting is half the battle!" A well-known & noteworthy statement by Paramhansa Yogananda about the spiritual path. Come experience & learn more about the power of devotional chanting on the spiritual path at our next gathering this Sunday, May 17.
What to expect: Devotional group chanting (kirtan) for about 45 minutes, followed by a 45-minute silent meditation. The first 10-15 minutes of the meditation will be guided (based on the techniques of Paramhansa Yogananda), offering simple instruction which can be followed for the remainder of the meditation in silence. If you'd like, stay after to ask questions, get to know our meditation group, or explore a variety of books to learn more. We are always happy to share and help!
Preparation: The studio provides yoga mats, blankets & bolsters, but feel free to bring your own meditation gear if you prefer. Arrive a little early to allow time for parking and to settle into the space.
Parking: Street parking is available—please pay close attention to posted signs.
Other important notes:
- Please ensure the door latches securely behind you when entering and exiting.
- We encourage you to stay for the full meditation. If you must leave early, please do so as quietly as possible and make sure the door fully latches behind you.
