The Hallberg Center for the Arts proudly presents Changing Colours by Susan Warner in the Underground GalleryFrom the Artist: "Changing Colours" reflects an escape from the muted tones of a long Minnesota winter. As a pastel artist based in Northeast Minneapolis, I need subjects that let me make use of the many vibrant pastel sticks in my collection. "Changing Colours" is a celebration of my trips to destinations that feature a totally different color palette, a complete contrast to what I see at home. Through my pastels, I want to take viewers on a journey beyond the winter chill, to experience the warmth and vibrancy of these faraway places.
There will be an Opening Reception on Thursday, August 21st from 5pm-7:30pm. Light refreshments and beverages will be served, along with coffee donated by White Pines Coffee and craft beer from the Uncommon Loon Brewery. The opening night reception also includes musical accompaniment from Erik Brandt!
The show closes Saturday, September 13th at 4PM.
