About this Event

Sonic Medicine

Date: Mon 2nd December

Time: 19:00 - 20:00

Location: St Peter's Church, De Beauvoir Town

"Everything is energy and that's all there is to it. Match the frequency of the reality you want, and you cannot help but get that reality." - Albert Einstein

Step into a magical portal of healing and rejuvenation using the power of sound vibration and frequency. Join Sarah, the creator of Change Your Tune, on a sonic medicine journey that uses crystal singing bowls, tuning forks, and shamanic beats to create sacred sonics which activate our body’s natural transformational healing powers.

This in-person event will take place at the beautiful St Peter's Church in the heart of De Beauvoir Town, London. Please arrive 5 minutes before the event and bring your own matt. Feel free to bring any extra blankets or pillows so you can make yourself at home.

In the meantime, here's more magic on the power of sound:

Stress Dissolution: Just as certain frequencies can shatter glass, sound waves can dissolve stress. Studies reveal that sound healing lowers cortisol levels (our stress hormone), bringing us into deep relaxation. It’s as if the vibrations lull your nervous system into a gentle, rhythmic dance, activating the body’s natural relaxation response.

Deep Sleep Activation: Sound can guide the brain like a conductor leading an orchestra. Specific frequencies, like binaural beats or ambient sounds, help synchronize brainwaves with slower, more meditative states (alpha or delta waves), inducing deeper sleep. It’s like tuning into a cosmic lullaby that cradles you into restful slumber.

Alchemical Pain Relief: Sound waves have the power to transmute pain. Research shows that sound therapy releases endorphins—the body’s natural pain relievers—easing both physical discomfort and emotional tension. Think of it like a gentle hum that melts away pain, resonating through your cells.

Enhanced Focus and Brainwave Entrainment: The brain responds to sound by aligning its own frequencies. Binaural beats, for instance, can boost focus and cognitive function by entraining brainwaves to specific frequencies that promote clarity and heightened concentration. It’s like a key unlocking your mind’s full potential, channeling creativity and focus effortlessly.

Emotional Unblocking: Sound healing helps release emotional blockages, gently unraveling the tangled knots of feelings held within the body. Science supports this through the release of neurotransmitters like serotonin and dopamine, which uplift mood and restore emotional balance. The experience can feel almost magical, like waves of sound washing away emotional tension and offering clarity.

Immune System Awakening: Sound healing resonates on a cellular level, and research shows that this deep relaxation helps boost immune function. Just as harmonic vibrations restore balance in the body, the immune system responds by becoming stronger, helping the body repair and defend itself more effectively.

Nervous System Recalibration: Instruments like crystal singing bowls, gongs, and tuning forks can help bring the body back into alignment by recalibrating the nervous system’s vibrations. These tools tap into the body’s natural frequencies, rebalancing it from chaos to calm, cohearance —almost like the universe itself is singing you back into harmony.
