The market will be hosted at the Chandler Mowat Community Center.

The market is to provide convenient access to fresh and dry local food at an affordable price with profits from the market being donated to support food security initiatives in the Chandler Mowat neighbourhood. The event is free to attend. If you’re interested in vending, tables are available for $20/table! This event will benefit low-income youth and families who cannot afford food in the grocery stores due to poverty and inflation, a cause that aligns with our commitment to creating transformational change in our community.

Hope for Community Development is a registered Canadian non-profit organization that focuses on empowering Black and newcomer youth in the Kitchener-Waterloo area. Our mission is to break the cycle of poverty and address barriers such as institutionalized racism through education, programming, and workshops. Governed by a dedicated volunteer board and supported by committed full-time and part-time staff and volunteers, we reach hundreds of youths and families each year. Your support will really go a long way to making a great impact in the lives of low-income youth and families.
