About this Event
Go from unfamiliar to confident on MagicQ — in just two days.
Whether you're a lighting technician stepping up to a professional console for the first time, a theatre programmer looking to expand your toolkit, or a touring tech who needs to get up to speed fast — this two-day hands-on training is built for you.
Led by ChamSys-certified instructors with real-world touring and production experience, Level 1 gives you everything you need to walk onto a gig and run a MagicQ rig with confidence. No prior MagicQ experience required.
You'll work directly on hardware consoles throughout the course — not just watch slides — covering the full workflow from patching and programming through to playback, pixel mapping, and show file management.
By the end of day two, you'll be able to patch a full rig, build a cue stack from scratch, program palettes and groups, work with timecode, and manage your show files — the core skills every working MagicQ operator needs.
