Along the Silk Road concludes Chamber Encounters’ “Around the World” season with a captivating musical journey across cultures, traditions, and centuries on Sunday, May 31 at 7:30 PM at the Katz Music Center. Featuring the fiery emotional intensity of Janáček’s “Kreutzer Sonata” Quartet, the Indian-inspired colors of Reena Esmail’s Ragamala, the folk-infused charm of Tsintsadze’s Miniatures, the meditative rhythmic world of Lou Harrison’s String Quartet Set, and the atmospheric beauty of Zhou Long’s Song of the Ch’in, the program explores the rich musical exchanges that have connected East and West for centuries.
