About this Event

Join us for the University of Westminster's Third annual Challenging Racisms Conference, a dynamic and thought-provoking event aimed at exploring the complex intersections of race, identity, and social justice.

The conference will feature a diverse range of speakers and panel discussions aimed at exploring and challenging the various forms of racism present within academia and society as a whole. Throughout the day, attendees will have the opportunity to engage in conversations, ask questions, and network with like-minded individuals.

This event is led by Dr Deborah Husbands and part of the Quintin Hogg-EDI programme led by Deputy Vice-Chancellor Professor Dibyesh Anand.

Welcome & Introduction (10 mins)
A warm welcome from EDI Committee Co-Chairs Professor Dibyesh Anand and Dr Deborah Husbands as they set the stage for a day of meaningful dialogue and exploration.

Keynote Pt 1 (50 mins)
Delve into critical issues of race with Professor Lisa-Dionne Morris as she delivers a powerful keynote address that sets the tone for the day's discussions.

Intersectionality of Faith, Belief and Race (60 mins)
