In this series we will explore the aspects of each of the 7 chakras - working up from the base or root chakra, through the sacral chakra, the belly or solar plexus, the heart chakra, throat chakra, third eye and crown chakra. During each session you will receive an hour long yoga practice for work at home, mantras and chants to go with each chakra, materials for understanding signs of balance and imbalance in each chakra, and journaling exercises for you to deepen your understanding of the energy centers in your own body. (The third eye and crown chakras/ 6th and 7th chakras will be covered in tandem.)
If you miss a session in the series do not despair! The series will be offered virtually as well as recorded for later review.

Lisa Ezzard studied yoga in Southern California for 12 years, where she mainly focused on heated yoga and a progressive sequence of movements and poses created by yoga master Peri Ness DeFay called Synergy Yoga, a mix between Bikram and Hatha yoga. She recently became re-certified at Asheville Community Yoga and also completed an intensive chakra workshop. Lisa is also a trained West African dancer and taught West African dance for 12 years in Southern California. She pulls from her athleticism, her dance background, and her healthy lifestyle to bring a truly holistic practice to her students. Her yoga classes involve breathing methods, strengthening and balancing poses, stretching, clearing the mind, and relaxation. She seeks to help students work on full body alignment, toning, flexibility, and overall good health.
