About this Event
Yoga Beneath Gaia | Tuesday Chair Yoga at the Cathedral
Practice in the shadow of Luke Jerram's awe-inspiring Gaia sculpture at the Cathedral, where a 20-foot, internally lit, rotating sculpture of our living planet hangs above, grounding every breath and movement in something larger than ourselves.
This gentle chair yoga class is centered on breath awareness and mindful movement — calming, restorative, and accessible to all levels. Whether you're new to yoga or a seasoned practitioner, this class is designed to support relaxation, mobility, and ease.
Your Instructor: Lauren Goldfarb, CYT-200
Lauren is a certified yoga teacher whose studies extend well beyond her foundational training, encompassing advanced sequencing, trauma-informed yoga, and restorative yoga. She brings a deep belief that yoga is a practice for every body — and every life — and her classes reflect that: welcoming, accessible, and rooted in the understanding that the mat is just the beginning. Lauren loves sharing the perspective that yoga offers, both on and off the mat.
All levels welcome. Chairs provided. Held at the Cathedral beneath Luke Jerram's Gaia. This is a free will donation class - all proceeds will go to benefit the Historic Stewart Building Fund, dedicated to the restoration of the historic Stewart-era buidling found on the Catehdral Close in Garden City.
