Classes will take place every Wednesday at 12:30 pm from June 3rd - June 24th. Please register only if you plan on attending all four classes.
Attention Chair Yogis of MPCLP: Hello! I look forward to sitting in (literally) for your regular chair yoga teacher during your usual Wednesday class time from 12:30-1:30pm! In this accessible form of yoga, we will stay seated in chairs available at the library. It is a gentle way for people experiencing limited mobility to stretch, feel calmness through breathwork, and enjoy the benefits of yoga as we meet our bodies where they are at. Just bring yourself!
Chair yoga classes are for adults. They are held on the main floor, which is accessible via a ramp. Classes are taught by certified yoga instructor Samantha Zimmer. All participants must sign a liability waiver.
Sam Zimmer is an educator, nature nerd, and creative enthusiast who learned to teach yoga in English and in Spanish. Sam is happy to share yoga with others in an accessible way and excited to learn with you! Free, because libraries rule.
