CHA CHA CHA PERFORMANCE CHALLENGE 💃🕺Ready to spice up your summer? Join the Cha Cha Cha Challenge and learn the super fun and funky Cha Cha Cha choreography to the classic Celia Cruz track “Ríe y Llora” as performed at the Latino Grooves Showcase!
Taught by Julia, this challenge is your chance to learn the full routine over December & January, then perform it at the first LG Social of 2026 - Saturday 17 January!
Stretch yourself and test your ability to absorb and learn choreography quickly and learn a funky new dance along the way.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
▪️ 15 hours of face-to-face rehearsals
▪️ Practice at home over the Christmas break
▪️ Simple formations with the focus on footwork, flavour & style
▪️ Easy, cost-effective costume (black outfit + shirt which will cost less than $20)
▪️ All levels welcome - you just need some Salsa On 2 or even Salsa On 1 basics with an awesome attitude
Not ready to perform? No problem - you’re still welcome to join the training and skip the performance.
REHEARSAL DATES:
▪️Sunday 14 December, 1pm-3pm (2 hours)
▪️Tuesday 16 December, 6pm-8pm (2 hours)
▪️Thursday 18 December, 6pm-8pm (2 hours)
▪️Monday 5 January, 6pm-8pm (2 hours)
▪️Wednesday 7 January, 6pm-8pm (2 hours)
▪️Friday 9 January, 6pm-8pm (2 hours)
▪️Friday 16 January, 6pm-7pm (1 hour)
▪️Saturday 17 January - performance night!
