About this Event

Centre for Governance (CGD) Research Forum - Roundtable on Digital technologies, state-society relations and political legitimacy in the Global South

A roundtable event of PhD researchers discussing and unpacking themes from their research on the influence of digital technologies on state formation and development in the Global South.

This roundtable event brings PhD researchers to discuss critical themes from their ongoing doctoral research around digital politics, state-society relations and state legitimacy in the Global South. In so doing, the roundtable aims to crystallize deep and useful insights on the dynamics, potency, challenges and possibilities of social media and new frontiers for state-citizen engagement in and across the Global South. The roundtable will be moderated by a senior academic, who will draw on the insights and experiences of the panelists to stimulate conversation on the theme.
