Join us for a focused day of CEU sessions exploring how design can better support aging populations, clinician wellbeing, and evolving learning environments.

CEU Day Agenda
10:00 AM – The Clinician Experience
We will examine the growing pressures on clinicians and the forces reshaping healthcare – from demographic shifts and technology integration to organizational and societal stressors.
We will share insight into the clinician experience, highlighting common points of friction and their impact on wellbeing and care delivery.
We will introduce six emerging needs and four design principles that guide the creation of spaces supporting focus, collaboration, safety, and flexibility.
Finally, we’ll show real-world applications across key healthcare environments – nurse stations, team huddles, respite spaces, patient spaces, and more – so you leave with actionable strategies and best practices to design spaces that help clinicians thrive.

Project-based learning empowers students to learn by doing, tackling real-world challenges that drive engagement and knowledge creation.
This session explores how evolving learning models require adaptable spaces that support collaboration, inquiry, and communication—both inside and outside the classroom.
2:00 PM – Centering Wellbeing Through Learning
Research suggests that a person’s wellbeing is better understood as a confluence of physical, cognitive and emotional factors.
The research identifies six pillars of human wellbeing that are universally true: meaning, belonging, authenticity, mindfulness, optimism and vitality. Additionally, the dimensions of what impacts our wellbeing are intrinsically connected to our personal relationships and the people/environments around us.
