About this Event
We’re celebrating Charlotte Craft Beer Week the Que Onda way — with bold flavors, local brews, and good vibes only. ✨
Join us Thursday, October 23rd at 6:30 PM in the loft at Que Onda Plaza Midwood for an exclusive four-course beer dinner in collaboration with our friends at Pilot Brewing.
Your $47 ticket includes all food, beer pairings, and gratuity — no surprises, just a full night of great food and drinks.
Chef Juan Romero of Qué Hospitality has crafted a special menu designed to pair perfectly with four Pilot Brewing favorites, each beer hand-selected and guided by Rachael Hudson, Pilot’s Advanced Cicerone® and Head Brewer. Rachel will be there to walk you through each pairing, share tasting notes, and give you the inside scoop on the brewing process.
🍽️ THE MENU
1. Birria Fritters
Crispy braised beef croquettes filled with Mexican rice, cheese, onions, cilantro, pickled jalapeño, and guajillo aioli.
Paired with: Puck Off Pilsner – Bright and crisp, it cuts through the richness of the beef and cheese while highlighting the guajillo spice.
2. Tamal de Mole Negro
Corn masa filled with savory mole negro and pulled chicken, wrapped in banana leaves and steamed. Topped with Mexican crema, red onion, cilantro, and toasted sesame seeds.
Paired with: Pub Ale – Its sweet malt brings out the dark chocolate and warm spice in the mole.
3. Milanesa
Crispy chicken cutlet, crispy cheese, shredded cabbage, avocado crema, pickled jalapeños, and cilantro on a bed of poblano mashed potatoes. Finished with lime.
Paired with: Island Hopper – Strong citrus profile, with notes of grapefruit, lime, and tropical fruit.
4. Flan de Elote
Creamy fresh corn flan, corn flake crumble, and whipped cream.
Paired with: Café Latte Stout – Light, slightly sweet, with soft citrus and grain notes that echo the corn’s natural sweetness.
