Learning Objectives
- Demonstrate an understanding of how to become systems literate.
- Differentiate complex, wicked problems from puzzle or tame problems. Recognized the VUCA (volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous) characteristics and identify the challenges faced when dealing with wicked problems.
- Define key concepts in the field of systems thinking and demonstrate an understanding of their significance and practical implications.
- Summarize the key milestones and major contributors in the history of systems thinking, demonstrating an understanding of its evolution and impact.
- Identify the appropriate level of complexity, analyze the influence of randomness, and articulate the relationship between complexity and the number of elements in a system.
- Define the purpose of key system thinking approaches and identify their underlying systemic perspective.
- Evaluate the purpose, utility, strengths, and limitations of some key system mapping/modelling techniques by interpreting and analyzing them to represent different aspects of a system.
Earning Criteria
- You’ll need to complete a two-day or 16-hour associate training course provided by the Systems Thinking Alliance. Following this, you must successfully pass the CSTA certification assessment exam.

Refund Policy: A full refund is available for cancellations made more than 30 calendar days prior to the course start date. A 50% refund is available for cancellations made between 1 to 29 calendar days before the course starts. No refunds will be issued on or after the course commencement date. Refunds will be processed automatically for credit card transactions, less any applicable administrative fees.
Course Cancellations: Systems Thinking Alliance reserves the right to cancel any class due to inclement weather, instructor illness, insufficient enrollment, or other unforeseen circumstances. We will endeavor to reschedule the canceled class or provide alternative arrangements for training.

Attendance Requirement:A minimum of 80% attendance is required to receive a certificate of completion.
Technical Requirements: Students are responsible for ensuring they meet the necessary technical requirements to attend online classes, including Microsoft Teams and Miro compatibility.
