Join the Safe Baby Team by becoming a Certified Safe Baby Trainer to help prevent infant deaths by providing education on how to choose a safe caregiver, prevent Shaken Baby Syndrome and follow safe sleep practices recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics. Participants will also learn about the dangers of distracted parenting.
Interested candidates will be asked to complete an application to demonstrate previous training experience. Attendees are required to participate in a two-hour, in-person Safe Baby training on Thursday, December 12th, from 2 to 4 pm. The interactive Certified Safe Baby Training will be on Friday, December 13th , from 8:30 am to 5 pm. The registration fee also includes a comprehensive Safe Baby Train the Trainer Curriculum and access to the training materials. Both trainings will be held in Tampa, Florida at the Healthy Start Coalition.
Once certified, Safe Baby Trainers can conduct trainings within their own communities at no cost to the organizations receiving them. For more information, please contact Nancy Hankin, [email protected].
