- Mahatma Gandhi
The fight for social justice, environmental sustainability and positive change takes knowledge, skills and strategy.
The Certificate in Changemaking is designed for Western Australians seeking to develop their skills in systemic advocacy, campaigning and practical activism to make a difference about the issues that matter.
The course is designed to provide the essential real-world skills required for a successful campaign, while introducing you to veteran activists who will share their stories and wisdom. It will also foster connections between movements, organisations and individuals and provide inspiration for the challenges of today.
The course will be suitable for beginners, but also welcomes experienced advocates wanting to brush up their skills and expand their networks.
As a pilot course, this Certificate is heavily subsidised and is offered at around 10% of its commercial value.
The course will be delivered by a series of experienced advocates with exceptional changemaking and subject matter expertise. In addition to your trainer, each week will feature a presentation and Q+A with a veteran changemaker to share their learnings from a local campaign.
