Benjamin Britten composed his 'A Ceremony of Carols' whilst aboard the SS Axelrod en route to England in 1942. It is a brilliantly setting collection of a number of medieval English carols, bookended with plainsong sung in procession.The Cathedral Choristers of Wellington Cathedral of St Paul perform this beautiful work every December in the lead-up to Christmas.
