**** SYNOPSIS ****

Années 1920. Persuadé que sa femme Irène est morte par sa faute, Antoine tente de communiquer avec elle par le biais d'une voyante. Il ignore qu'il parle en fait à Suzanne, une saltimbanque qui ne connaît rien à l'au-delà.
Paris, au début du XXe siècle. Persuadé que sa femme Irène est morte par sa faute, Antoine Balestro, peintre en vogue, n’arrive plus à se remettre au travail et désespère Armand, son galeriste. Un soir, en quête de pardon, Antoine, ivre, tente d’entrer en contact avec Irène par l’intermédiaire d’un médium. Sans le savoir, il parle en réalité avec Suzanne, une modeste saltimbanque, qui ne connaît rien à l’au-delà et s’est faufilée dans la roulotte de la voyante pour voler de la nourriture…

Convinced that his wife Irène died because of him, Antoine Balestro, a successful painter, can no longer get back to work and is driving his gallery owner, Armand, to despair. One evening, seeking forgiveness, a drunken Antoine tries to contact Irène through a medium. Unbeknownst to him, he's actually speaking with Suzanne, a humble street performer who knows nothing of the afterlife and has sneaked into the fortune teller's caravan to steal some food…
