Each month, we focus on a different upper elementary or middle grades book or series, do book-themed crafts, find read-alikes, talk about books, and get book recommendations from each other! Just try to read at least one book in the series (more if you like it and you don't have to finish it if you hate it!). You can also read in any format - physical book, ebook, audiobook, or graphic novel. This month's book: Matilda by Roald Dahl
Matilda's parents have called her some terrible things, but the truth is she's a genius and they're the stupid ones. Underestimating Matilda proves to be a big mistake as they, along with her spiteful headmistress, Miss Trunchbull, soon find out when Matilda discovers she has a very special power.
This month's activity: Watch the 1996 film classic and small crafts.
Cereal snacks and craft supplies are provided by the Friends of the Richland Library!
