Young Artist Workshop: Valentine Heart Mugs ❤️☕
A Handmade Masterpiece for Your Morning Cocoa!
Introduce your young artist to the wonderful world of clay! In this special two-part workshop, children will explore their creativity as they hand-build a functional, heart-shaped ceramic mug. This session is perfectly paced for kids, focusing on sensory play and simple hand-building techniques to create a one-of-a-kind treasure.
Workshop Schedule:
- Part 1 (The Build): Sunday, January 24th - 11:00 PM – 1:00 PM
- Part 2 (The Glaze): Saturday, February 14th - 1:15 - 2:15 PM
How it works: During the first session, we will guide the children through the fun process of shaping and sculpting their heart mugs. Once the pieces have dried and gone through their first kiln firing, participants will return on February 14th to learn glaze application and choose their favorite colors to bring their mugs to life.
Registration Details:
- Price: Includes both the building and glazing workshops, plus all clay, tools, and kiln firings.
- Skill Level: Welcomes all young artists, including those with no prior experience!
- Flexibility: If your child is unable to attend the glazing session on Feb 14th, please let us know and we can arrange a different time for your child to finish their piece or glaze it in a solid colour of thier choice.
A Note for Our Makers: While we treat every creation with the utmost professional care, the ceramic process is naturally unpredictable. Due to the high temperatures of kiln firing and the unique nature of clay, pieces can occasionally crack, break, or develop minor defects. While we cannot guarantee a perfect result for every firing, we are committed to your satisfaction. Should your piece experience any issues, we will work with you to find a fair resolution, such as a replacement or a discount.
