About this Event
Join us at our brand new ceramics studio in Maryhill and get into the seasonal spirit by making your own Halloween ceramic miniatures.
You'll get an introduction to basic pinch-pot and slab techniques and we'll also do some customising with colour using underglazes. Expect to make around 3 pieces.
Your spooky sculptures will then be left to dry, fired in the kiln and glazed for you - a process that takes around 2 weeks so they'll be ready to pick up in time for Halloween!
12yrs+ are welcome with an accompanying adult (please book spaces for both)
The tutor: Addison (she/they) has 15+ years experience in costume jewellery making with their own brand Planet Peach Studio. They have been teaching workshops, hosting craft-themed parties and leading community arts activities for over 10yrs. PVG scheme member.
The Venue: Creative Bloc is a new arts collective and creative studio in Glasgow North-West. 814 Garscube Road, G20 7ET. Entrance to the studio is via one small step at the front door on Garscube road and there is level access from the car park at the back. First busses 60, 60A, 61 - Bluebird X10, X10A and West Coast Motors 17 all stop on Maryhill Road just 2 minutes walk away.
Kelvinbridge and St Georges Cross underground are approx 17mins walk.
Car:
There is on-street parking on Garscube Rd and a small visitors carpark at the back entrance, accessed via Firhill Rd.
