Centre for Crime, Justice and Security Annual Conference

You are cordially invited to the 2024 Centre for Crime, Justice and Security (CCJS) Conference on the 2nd October, 2024.
In celebration International Day of Non-Violence, CCJS are hosting their annual conference showcasing research, innovation and enterprise in the broad area of crime, justice and security.

The themes for this event are all related to tackling violence in all its forms, this includes, but not limited to:

- Tackling violence against women and girl crimes

- Policing perspectives for tackling violence

- Investigating violence against animals

- Reducing alcohol, drug and gambling related violence

- Reducing race hate violence and extremism

This event will present our work being conducted both nationally and internationally and provide a place for networking and developing new partnerships, sharing ideas and initiating new projects.

For those of you who do not already know about the CCJS; we are a multidisciplinary Centre whose ethos focusses on high quality research, innovation, enterprise and knowledge exchange to positively impact crime, and society in all of its forms. Working with the police, forensic science providers, government organisations, private companies and NGO’s, the CCJS works on impactful, evidence-based practice to address global challenges.

Time: 9.30am - 5.30pm (Registration open from 9am)

Location: Catalyst, Leek Road Campus, Stoke-on-Trent, ST4 2DF

Cost: The attendance to this event is free of charge

Parking: Free parking available. Please secure a voucher for the pay and display machine from the registration desk. Our Leek Road Campus is situated next to Stoke-on-Trent railway station so we would encourage travel by train where possible.  

Catering: Lunch and refreshments will be provided
