For the last 25 years, Central Gardens has been a place to gather, relax, and enjoy the beauty of nature. From weddings and concerts to quiet strolls among the flowers, the Gardens have been part of countless memories for our community and visitors alike.
What started in 2000 as a bold idea to create a free public green space has blossomed into one of north Iowa’s top attractions, welcoming more than 20,000 guests each year. Thanks to the dedication of volunteers, donors, and supporters, the Gardens now feature 23 themed areas, tranquil water features, and unique spaces for recreation, education, and renewal.
This September, we’re marking our silver anniversary with live music, refreshments, and a short program honoring the people who brought the Gardens to life. Bring your lawn chair, invite your friends, and join us in celebrating 25 years of beauty, community, and connection.
