About this Event
PLEASE NOTE: you are registering for an online course.
As classrooms become increasingly diverse and people awaken to new levels of consciousness, educators around the globe understand the urgent need to develop schools and classrooms that are equitable, and teaching practices that engage and celebrate all students. In the United States, Culturally Responsive-Sustaining Education (CRSE) has become a national buzzword, a call to action and, In some places, a mandate.
This opportunity will empower you to create student-centered learning environments that affirm racial, linguistic, and cultural identities, elevate historically marginalized voices, and prepare students for rigor and independent learning. As we unpack the concept of CRSE and discover ways to make this practice approachable and meaningful for educators and students, we'll also explore planning, teaching, and curriculum development practices that create space to acknowledge and value student identity. Together, we can cultivate learning opportunities for students that offer a more equitable, culturally responsive, and sustaining education.
