It’s been 21 years of being in remission from non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Half my life. Wild.This April 26th I turn 42 years old. It just so happens 26.2 miles equals 42 kilometers, so here we are.
Join me for 1 lap, all 7ish, or anywhere in between and enjoy the beauty of Greenwood Park, my favorite spot to run in Des Moines.
I am thrilled to share I’ll be partnering with Above + Beyond Cancer to raise money for their wonderful organization.
Above + Beyond Cancer was founded by Des Moines oncologist Dr. Richard Deming in 2011 with the mission to elevate the mind, body and spirit of patients, survivors, and caregivers throughout the cancer journey.
The team has led cancer survivors on incredible adventures to places like Mount Everest Base Camp, Machu Picchu, and the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro.
Grateful to have Above + Beyond local to Des Moines and the opportunity to partner with them on this Fun Run.
