Center Field 26: HBCU Dance Intensive

is bringing Center Field back to Detroit!

This six-day immersive experience dives into the electrifying world of HBCU collegiate dance. Led by Coordinator Airielle Brooks, former Captain of the Fabulous Dancing Dolls of Southern University & A&M College, alongside three special guest instructors, participants will train with some of the best in the game.

Open to all skill levels for ages 12–18, dancers will train Monday through Friday, mastering the fundamentals needed to shine on any collegiate dance team. And we'll close out the week with high-energy performances for family and friends at the Showcase Cookout!

Info: Learn the fundamentals of performing at the highest level! Participants will take part in dynamic exercises focused on strength and conditioning, technical foundations, and performance execution. Each day wraps up with a special guest workshop spotlighting personal development, team building, academic excellence, and more!

Info: Friends and family will enjoy a special performance by the students, along with the announcement of camp recognitions, highlighted by the presentation of the Center Field ’26 MVP Award.

The afternoon will conclude with a Back-to-School Cookout, where attendees can enjoy food, entertainment, and a school supply giveaway.
