Celica špila, pleše, miga, gruva in muva – že peto leto zapored!🥳 Ob petem rojstnem dnevu bomo v juliju in avgustu 2026 pripravili nepozabno glasbeno praznovanje z vrhunskim naborom domačih in tujih bendov!🥳Pravijo, da je »after« boljši od »partyja«, vendar bo koncertna elektronska zasedba ABOP vsem dokazala nasprotno: najboljši rave bo pripeljala naravnost na naše poletno prizorišče.🥳
»After je boljši od zabave.« Če ta rek prevedemo v hrvaški jezik in ga skrajšamo v kratico, dobimo ABOP. Dobimo pa tudi nagrajevano in priznano hrvaško elektronsko skupino, ki jo navdihujejo acid house, techno, electro in drugi zgodnji žanri elektronske plesne glasbe. Na plesišču divja rave scena, občinstvo je v transu, didžeja pa ni, saj ABOP sestavlja pet vrhunskih glasbenikov – na odru je koncertna elektronska skupina.
Njihova prva izdaja, istoimenski EP iz leta 2016, je razprodan. Zahvaljujoč tej izdaji so člani zasedbe prepotovali številne države, med drugim Avstrijo, Italijo, Madžarsko, Slovaško, Nemčijo, Belgijo, Francijo, Češko in Bolgarijo. Postali so prejemniki številnih nagrad tako na Hrvaškem kot v tujini.
Novembra 2019 je skupina izdala svoj prvi dolgometražni album Delta (PDV Records). Za zvočno obdelavo (miks in master) je poskrbel hrvaški techno pionir Petar Dundov.
Leto 2020 se je začelo obetavno: člani ABOP so razprodali enega največjih klubov v Zagrebu, Boogaloo, in se tako uveljavili kot ena najuspešnejših hrvaških instrumentalnih zasedb. V naslednjih dveh letih so iz nič zgradili svoj studio ABOP HQ v podzemni etaži brutalistične soseske Novi Zagreb.
Od tod prihaja novi album Masters of Afters, izdan novembra 2025 pri LAA, eni najaktivnejših hrvaških koncertnih agencij. Album se odpre s telefonskim klicem Gorana Bareta, legende hrvaške alternativne rock scene, in se nadaljuje z elektro-punk himno Zwei Kilo Zucker, najnovejšim singlom skupine. Album je bil razglašen za najboljši hrvaški album leta 2025 ter je ABOP prinesel številne nominacije in nagrade. Tako kot po izdaji prejšnjega albuma je skupina tudi tokrat razprodala eno največjih prizorišč v Zagrebu – legendarno Tvornico kulture –, in s tem znova potrdila, da sodi med najboljše koncertne izvajalce na Hrvaškem.

“The after is better than the party.” Translate this saying into their native Croatian language and trim it down to a size of a four-letter acronym and you will get ABOP. You will also get an awarded and critically acclaimed Croatian electronic music band inspired by acid house, techno, electro and other early electronic dance music genres. There’s a rave on the floor and the audience is in trance – but there is no DJ – as ABOP consists of five exquisite musicians on stage. Live electronic band.
Their fist release, a self-titled EP from 2016 is sold-out. On account of it they’ve gathered miles and miles under their belt by playing in Austria, Italy, Hungary, Slovakia, Germany, Belgium, France, Czech Republic and Bulgaria. On its account they also started gathering numerous awards both in Croatia and abroad.
In November 2019 the band released their first LP Delta (PDV Records). The album was mixed and mastered by Croatian techno trailblazer Petar Dundov.
2020 started promising with ABOP outselling one of the Zagreb’s biggest clubs – Boogaloo thus becoming one of the most successful Croatian instrumental bands. The band spent the next two years building the ABOP HQ studio from scratch, in the underground level of the brutalist neighbourhood of Novi Zagreb.
Out of it comes the new album Masters of Afters, released in November 2025 by LAA, Croatia’s most prolific live agency. The album opens with a phone call from Goran Bare, a legend of the Croatian alternative rock scene, and continues with the electro-punk hymn Zwei Kilo Zucker, the band’s latest single. It was pronounced the best Croatian album of 2025, and it brought ABOP numerous other nominations and awards. And just like with their predecessor, they sold out one of the biggest venues in Zagreb – the legendary Tvornica Kulture, once again confirming that they are one of the best live acts in Croatia.
