Celebration of Student Research

Students from all over the region are doing astronomy projects for PJAS, PRSEF, local science fairs and for the joy of learning. At the Celebration of Student Research they will present with posters, short talks and small break out groups. They will invite friends, family and community members to the historic building to learn about their projects and see the telescopes. Several professional astronomers from the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University will join us. We expect rich scientific discussion at many levels.

There will be snacks, hands on STEM activities for younger children and access to telescopes if the sky is clear.
