Celebrating the life of David Paul Pesch (April 17, 1956 – October 27, 2025) means celebrating a man who was, quite simply, "pure joy". Known as a "one-in-a-million soul," Dave lived a life defined by laughter, energy, and an unforgettable sense of fun.A Life of Energy and Wit
Dave had a unique ability to light up any room—or pool deck—he stepped onto.
The Eternal Athlete: Whether at Gates Chili High School or SUNY Geneseo, Dave was a legendary teammate. Friends recall that between grueling swim sets, while everyone else was gasping for air, Dave would be "talking a mile a minute," cracking jokes and lifting everyone’s spirits.
The Ultimate Prankster: He famously loved a good scare, often startling his friends hundreds of times over just to enjoy a long, infectious laugh afterward.
A Vibrant Storyteller: Described as a "beautiful, creative, and talented" individual, he made connections effortlessly and left everyone with at least a dozen "Dave stories" to tell.
His Legacy of Love
While he was a "unique character" who made every interaction exciting, he was also a deeply valued friend, husband, and role model.
A Solid Role Model: To those he befriended early on, he was more than just a funny guy; he was an influential mentor and a "solid role model" who stayed in their lives for decades.
A Bright Light: His presence was a constant at Hallmark, where colleagues remember him as a vibrant life who truly "lit up" his workplace.
To honor Dave, we don't just remember his passing; we celebrate the "unforgettable" energy he brought to the world.
More details to come but dress will be casual but bright colors.
