CELEBRATION OF BLACK CULTURE AND UNITY JUNETEENTH FAMILY EVENT COMING TO GREENSBORO ON JUNE 12
GREENSBORO, NC — Greensboro Parks & Recreation, in partnership with local community organizers, is proud to present the Celebration of Black Culture and Unity, a vibrant family event honoring Juneteenth. The celebration will take place on Friday, June 12, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lewis Recreation Center, located at 3110 Forest Lawn Drive.
This year’s community gathering will be hosted by a familiar voice in local media, SPOT-TV’s very own Valerie Jones. The evening promises an uplifting atmosphere dedicated to unity, cultural pride, and supporting the local community.
Attendees can look forward to a diverse lineup of entertainment, shopping, and community wellness resources, including:
• Live Performances: High-energy routines from the BATO Dance and BATO Parade and Drill Team, alongside other local artists.
• Local Vendors: A bustling marketplace featuring a wide array of local businesses, creators, and services, including GMJ Crafts, Art by Grace Brown, Resume Beauty, Bebo Boutique LLC, Just Squeezed, Home/Commercial Cleaning Solutions, CS Designs, and Kim’s Queen Collection.
• Health & Wellness: Dedicated resources and insights provided by Health and Wellness with Dani-Hemingway.

The Celebration of Black Culture and Unity is free and open to the public. Families, neighbors, and visitors of all ages are encouraged to attend and share in the festivities.
