Celebration of Ability - Your Own Beat

Doors open at 6:30pm for a 7:00pm start.

International Day of People with Disability (IDPWD) is celebrated every year on December 3rd. The aim of this day is to promote community awareness, understanding, and acceptance of people with disability.

City of Playford celebrates this day with its annual Celebration of Ability event, held as close to IDPWD as possible.

This year we are hosting "Celebration of Ability - Your Own Beat", an event that is centered around the universal language of music, showcasing the many ways people can share in their love of music. The event brings the community together to connect with each other in one place where everyone can feel the beat of the music in their own way. The event will

feature live music, inclusive music tech, light refreshments and nibbles and the

annual Mayoral awards, recognising local people and businesses who are advancing

inclusion in Playford and surrounds.

Please be aware that there will be an event photographer present on the night, if you do not want your photograph taken please inform one of the staff on the night. A Media release will also be sent out before the event, which means there is a potential that media may be present.
