Kari Marie
Originally from the Minneapolis area, Kari began studying piano in 1993 and completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from Concordia College in 2009. She performed in jazz band through junior and senior high school, and served as the principal pianist for the Dakota Jazz Big Band in Fargo, ND, from 2021-2025. Starting in 2021, she has been featured as the annual holiday piano performer for West Acres Mall.
Kari's early performance career began as a solo singer & songwriter, playing in the Minneapolis circuit from 2006-2009 and in Fargo regularly since 2012. She organized and presented an annual Carole King tribute called "Raspberry Jam" from 2015-2019 featuring prominent local musicians, which has been revived post-pandemic in 2023. This year they will feature the iconic album "Tapestry" during the annual performance event. Other local bands that Kari has performed with include: The Human Element (rock), Gina Powers Band (country rock), Kari Marie Trio (originals & unique covers), Willie Waldman Project (live improvisation), Blue Wailers (traditional blues), Pastime Activity (System of a Down cover band), The Mardi Gras Kings (New Orleans traditional jazz), and Dat Funk Band (iconic soul).
Skarlett Woods
Duluth-based Singer-Songwriter and guitarist Skarlett Woods can only be placed in one musical category: powerful. Her original work can be daring and Jazzy like early 1970's Joni Mitchell, poetic like Bob Dylan, sweet and sexy like Norah Jones or laced with Americana like Brandi Carlile. Skarlett has opened for acts such as Stephen Stills, Judy Collins and the Blues Traveler. Hailed by Dave Franklin, (Dancing About Architecture), as a “worthy successor to the likes of James Taylor, Joan Baez or His Bobness”.
Now, while the term “eclectic” might conjure notions of disarray or disconnection, it’s the restlessness of her creative spirit that truly defines the essence of this musical journey. Skarlett deftly weaves together the rich tapestry of quintessentially American sounds—folk, roots, rock ‘n’ roll, and alt-country, the very strands that comprise the vibrant fabric of Americana music—blending and merging them into a sonic tapestry that mirrors her own restless soul.
Gina Powers is a versatile and captivating singer-songwriter and recording artist with a unique blend of country, rock, and soul. Her powerful vocals and dynamic stage presence have captivated audiences of all ages and musical tastes.
Gina has been singing and playing guitar since she was a child, and her musical influences range from Patsy Cline and Dolly Parton to Bonnie Raitt and Stevie Nicks. As an exclusive recording artist on the Hughmont International record label in Nashville, Tennessee, Gina released two singles, in 2022; “Till I Get Through the Night” and “Mississippi’s Burning,” both written by award-winning songwriter Jerry Foster. In February 2024, Gina independently released “Love Will Lift Us Up” co-written with the Grammy nominated Jan Buckingham and produced by award winning John D. Willis.
Deb Jenkins is a Registered Nurse and Breast Cancer survivor twice. She is the mother of two adult children, grandmother to two beautiful grandchildren, and married to keyboard player Mike Jenkins for 50 years. She is the founder of Celebration of Women, a notorious music event that ran for 25 years and influenced the lives of numerous young female musicians.
Deb is a powerful vocalist and has been a cornerstone of the Fargo music scene since the 1970s. Preferring to sing the blues, she has an inclusive repertoire spanning from The Beatles, Joan Armatrading, Peggy Lee , and Billie Holiday. She has performed in outdoor Fargo music festivals, night clubs, and fundraisers for virtually every type of audience. Deb recorded two albums with her bands, Down Home Blues and Deb Jenkins Freedom. She currently continues her business, Deb’s Corner Foods and Catering , which has been in the FM area for over 25 years.
