KEYNOTE SPEAKER - Ann Brown
SPEAKERS - Adele Helm & Ellie Brook
HOST - Liz Boswell, Bold Moves Coaching
KEYNOTE SPEAKER - Ann Brown
From frightened, downtrodden, desperate single mum, to writer, theatre performer and a woman who has spoken in front of thousands - Ann Brown has overcome some enormous challenges to be where she is today.
And it’s all thanks to one little piece of life changing advice she received back in 2009, a little piece of advice that she wants to pass on to you.
Ann’s story is a difficult listen in parts. But trauma turns, ultimately, to triumph and if that one little piece of advice changes your life as dramatically as it changed hers, it’ll have been worth hearing
SPEAKER - Mandy Taylor - Senior Programme Manager and Employment, Advice and Safeguarding Lead
Mandy is the Senior Programme Manager Employment & Advice and Safeguarding Lead for Lancashire Women charity, a charity who support women across the county with all they need to pursue positive outcomes in their lives. Mandy has worked for the organisation for over 15 years; after walking through the door initially as a service user, then volunteer, her wealth of lived experience make her who she is, a well-respected senior member of the team
SPEAKER - Ellie Brook, EdShift CIC
Ellie is the very proud founding CEO at EdShift CIC.
Domestic abuse had a profound impact on her home community of Calderdale and is an issue very close to her heart. Being a child and adult survivor of domestic abuse makes her strive to ensure that EdShift continues to have an impact so they can make a lasting difference to the lives of the children they support. Ellie knows both personally and professionally that the costs of domestic abuse and violence are too high. As the leader of EdShift she witnesses from the frontline and strategically, the devastating impact domestic abuse has on victims and knows all too well the resilience and strength it takes to begin the journey towards healing and recovery.
