Celebrating the Tuskegee Airmen Legacy - #SoaringToGreaterHeights
This year marks the 50th anniversary of The East Coast Chapter Tuskegee Airmen, Incorporated (ECCTAI), the oldest and largest chapter of the renowned Tuskegee Airmen, Inc. Over the next year, ECCTAI will be hosting a variety of events with the goal of preserving the legacy of the Airmen and raising funds for our signature programs.
Our 50th Anniversary Celebrations will commence with the 2023 Tuskegee Airmen Commemoration Day events. Annually we recognize the fourth Thursday of March with a Wreath Laying Ceremony at the U.S. Air Force Memorial, scheduled for March 23rd. We will also host “An Evening with the Tuskegee Airmen”, a fireside chat with the Airmen that will include a reception and silent auction, on March 29th.
We hope you will join us for these invitation only events that will feature our surviving local Documented Original Tuskegee Airmen (DOTAs) on March 29th. We have invited local DOTAs Cadet William Fauntroy, Dr. Ivan Ware, Col. Carl C. Johnson, and Lt. John Curry. Lt. Col. James Harvey, one of the pilots is confirmed to attend also.
