About this Event
A Life Like No Other
Sister Gita was a beacon of love, strength, and inspiration. She wasn’t an ordinary woman, but one who touched the lives of thousands, helping them feel better about themselves. From serving her famous jerk tofu to Oprah at the United Nations to cooking for the Bee Gees, the Jamaican Bobsled Team, saints, and leaders, Sister Gita’s culinary artistry was only surpassed by her ability to uplift the downtrodden and inspire others to shine.
Her journey was marked by resilience—orphaned after the tragic Kendall Train accident, she faced life’s challenges with grace and determination. She helped build the Brahma Kumaris Meditation Center in Silver Spring, MD, creating a sanctuary for peace and healing.
Together with her daughter and best friend, Sister Dr. Jenna, she built a thriving community that has saved lives and brought light to countless souls. Sister Gita’s legacy is a testament to love, courage, and service.
