Join me in an immersive, mystical gentle & meditative walk through nature, designed to help participants connect with the spiritual realm, their intuition, and the energies of the land.
This ancestral connection spirit walk blends elements of guided meditation, connection with our local nature (genius loci) and ancestral communication.
The goal is to -
- Connect with the spiritual world of nature & the ancestors
- Guide participants through a walking meditation to deepen their spiritual awareness and provide structure for an alternative to traditional meditation practices
- Allow our intuition to open to messages through signs and the use of our spiritual gifts to listen to nature
- Provide grounding and clarity, a breath of fresh air in the midst of the chaos of life
Many people have told me through the years that they can't get their brains to quiet enough for meditation or hypnosis. That sitting still for even a little while is too difficult. There are many ways to meditate, and walking meditation is one of them.
Structure -
- We will meet at the parking lot of Granby Park at 3pm to set intentions, talk about today's theme (Ancestral Wisdom) and do a grounding exercise.
- We will begin our walk no earlier than 3:15, so if you arrive after that you may have to catch up to us.
- At times, we will walk intentionally, mindfully in silence while we focus on the natural world around us.
- Throughout the walk, we will pause for reflection & connection with the natural elements around us, while focusing on our theme.
- Journaling is welcomed, so bring your journal to record your experiences.
- We will gather again at the end for our closing where you will be able to share insights if you wish, and we will give gratitude to the spirits of the land and ancestors who joined us.
- Each participate will be given a small talisman fitting our theme to take home with them at the end of the spirit walk.
ACCESSIBILITY:
Granby Park is accessible to wheelchairs on the paved paths, if we have anyone with accessibility needs we will accommodate gladly and stay on the paved paths.
Registration is required and space is limited to give the best possible experience.
Nursing babies always welcome, but for this walk we are asking that you don't bring children who aren't old enough to fully participate in the meditative experience with respect for our silent times, and introspective space we are creating.

Any mother - your mother, your children's mother, your adopted mother, your grandmother, your godmother, your stepmother, your mother-in-law, your claimed mother, your drag mother, your pet's mother, the person who mothered you regardless of gender - get it? "a mother" I'm not pressed about what type of "mother" they are to you and I will not ask so define it however you want!! We celebrate ALL mothers.
