About this Event
Join the Laurier Centre for Music in the Community to celebrate Community Music at Laurier! We’re hosting the world premiere of the short documentary on , an intergenerational choir that connects people living with dementia, their care partners and high school student volunteers. Filmed by Alum Sara Geidlinger (MA ‘24) about a project started by Sasha Judelson (MA ‘16) as her MA capstone project, the project has been supported by LCMC for a decade, and continues to thrive in connecting people through music.
We also celebrate the legacy of Dr. Lee Willingham at his retirement. Dr. Willingham was the inaugural director of LCMC, and initiated degree specializations in community music to Laurier.
And live music by Amanda Braam and the Paper Cranes! Join us in celebrating community music in music, film, and conversations, followed by a reception. All are welcome.
Tickets are free, reserve in advance.
