New Life Church in Abbotsford
Hear from men whose lives will never be the same because of building relationships with volunteers while incarcerated. Be inspired by volunteers who are excited to live out their calling to follow Jesus wherever he leads. Explore the many different pathways to ministry among those who are, or were incarcerated in our communities.
Sponsors will include agencies and individuals who have a presence in the prisons and/or are helping those released to safely integrate into a community. These includes protestant chaplains from Fraser Valley Institutions, agency directors from Better Life Canada, Bridges of Canada, Outreach Canada and M2W2 .

8:30 A.M. Doors open for coffee, pastry and fellowship
9:00 A.M. Welcome - Don Klaasssen Outreach Canada
9:10 A.M. Worship Time led by inmates
9:25 A.M. Testimonies from inmates whose connection with volunteers is life changing
9:50 A.M. Testimonies from volunteers who are living out their calling. (5 minutes each)
10:00 A.M. Agency leaders present their focus
10:10 A.M. Refreshment - Chaplains present opportunities
11:10 A.M. “Following Jesus into Pr*son and beyond” Dan Friesen
11: 25 A.M Questions answered and prayer time for volunteers and chaplains
12:00 P.M. Lunch provided
1:00 P.M. Clean up and departure.
In B.C. there are approximately 2500 individuals in the custody of provincial and federal prisons. Correctional Service Canada recognizes the valuable service volunteers provide in assisting inmates in their spiritual pilgrimage while incarcerated and after their release.
