The Event is to acknowledge the achievements of the "Friends" over the past 10 Years, with collaboration and partnerships with many Community groups. The Community, along with special guest Costa from Gardening Australia, will celebrate what this popular, iconic headland space now has to offer in stunning views, beautiful native gardens and attractive safe structures to allow the space to be used for exercise, relaxation and solace.The Event will include *Guided tours and displays showcasing our environmental achievements & nurturing of native flora & fauna
*Native plant displays & workshops on propogation, native bees, sustainability, bush tucker, koala conservation
*Live music & entertainment including Birpai choir & dance, Bands, Blokes Notes, The Fridge Magnets, Kristina, Tom, Alison & Others
*Refreshments (BBQ & cold drinks, Tea, Cakes & Slices, Coffee & Food Van) and celebratory cake
*Trade Table crafts and memorabilia
*Arts (Photography, Cooee Sistas Charcoal drawing, Public art mosaic
*Kids activities with Karen & Bunnings
*Community groups & services including Dementia Friendly, Kirinari Age Services, Home Hospice, Rotary Sunrise, Land Care, Douglas Vale Winery, Lost Plot, Girl Guides
*Super Raffle- $5 ea or 3 for $10
*Costa with meet & greet, book signing, presentation
Commences at 9am with official opening with Uncle Bill at 10 am.
