Celebrating 20 years! Miles for Mission walkathon 2026

Calvary Holiness Church began the Miles for Missions Walk-a-thon twenty years ago as a church event to encourage our church youth to become involved in supporting and developing a love for foreign missions. The original goal was to support mission works of men and women whom we knew personally. The Covid pandemic thwarted our ability to have our walkathon for a couple of years, but we have still had people donate to our church for missions, and we have forwarded those funds on. Through 2025, we have been privileged to send (at least) $250,000 to the mission field. The scope has expanded from our humble beginnings and we have been able to help missionaries literally around the world. The t-shirts we design and order each year for the walkers have become iconic all by themselves! The missionaries we support have varied from year to year and has included mission works in Mexico, Haiti, The Dominican Republic, Africa, The Philippines, Taiwan, Belize and Guatemala. We always want to emphasize that ALL the funds we raise go to the missionaries and works we support. None of the money raised stays in our local church and we are certain that’s why God has blessed us so much in this effort.
Miles for Missions is scheduled for May 2nd at Arnette Park in Fayetteville. If you would like to participate in this year’s walk, I need to get the t-shirt size(s) so I can order them NLT April 1.
1st. We plan to be at the park at 9:00am on that Saturday morning to collect any money raised and distribute the shirts.
The walk will officially start at 9:30. We always take a group picture and want to get everyone
then she wil be refreshments and food available during the event.
If you would be interested in helping us
raise funds, participate in the walk, or get involved in supporting this effort, please contact Hayley or Pastor Alan. We would welcome your assistance.
God bless you, and thank you for your interest.
Sincerely,
Alan Phillips
