The "Water is Love" screening is part of a Resilient Red Hook's Community Activism Film Series. The screening will be followed by a community discussion featuring water advocates and led by local water artist and activist, Betsy Damon. This event is by donation and open to the public – registration is required. Space is limited.
"Water Is Love: Ripples of Regeneration" is an award-winning documentary that explores the complex and crucial relationship between water and human communities. The filmmakers follow a group of young people grappling with the climate crisis while they weave in inspiring stories of regenerative ecosystem design to create water retention in communities, villages, and regions. The film highlights the challenges of water cycle imbalance and the innovative solutions being implemented to ensure water sustainability. It emphasizes the importance of community-driven efforts in water conservation and the ripple effects that could result in climate resiliency.
