The Hilton Head Choral Society is excited to kick-off its 50th Anniversary Season with a special opening concert, “Celebrate Unity” on Friday, September 26 at 7 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 540 William Hilton Parkway, Hilton Head Island, SC. The concert is sponsored by Custom Audio Video Integrated Home.The concert will feature an uplifting mix of spirituals, anthems, and beloved popular songs, including A New Jerusalem Arise, Hold Me, Rock Me, Lift Every Voice and Overcome, Lean on Me, and more.
The concert will also feature a very special guest: renowned American composer, conductor, and recordist Z. Randall
Stroope. The Choral Society is honored to premiere Courage Sings - a powerful, original work composed by Stroope in
celebration of the 50th anniversary.
Concertgoers will be invited to a celebratory reception following the concert that evening in the church lobby.
