Willimantic Whitewater Partnership joins with Rails-To-Trails Conservancy to host a bike ride along the Willimantic River Trail, a small piece of Hop River Trail, and a section of Air Line Trail North. The surface is paved, and the terrain is flat (with one small optional grade). Participants will view the Whitewater Park (under construction, the riverside, downtown Willimantic, and a heron nesting site. Participants will also learn how to cross the various intersections to safely navigate a couple of major road crossings.
