Join us at Government House on Saturday 6 June 2026 for a special Queensland Day Open Day — a rare opportunity to explore one of the State’s most significant and beautiful public places.From 11am to 3pm, Queenslanders are invited to enjoy the historic surrounds of Fernberg Estate, with access to the House grounds, including bushland walking tracks, live entertainment, food vendors, and activities for all ages.
At 12pm, guests are invited to gather for a special Queensland Day Ceremony, recognising the significance of the day and celebrating the people, history and spirit of Queensland.
Throughout the estate, enjoy displays and experiences from organisations connected to the Governor, including a special Ekka-themed activation by the RNA in its 150th year.
Visitors can also view a rare public display of the Letters Patent — the historic constitutional documents establishing the office of Governor in Queensland.
